I did a muppet style project a couple years ago and getting the hair and fuzz systems to cooperate was a nightmare. Your render looks great!

Thats the backbone of what I did in After Effects.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: its easy to make a GREAT model look good in a shot.

Im using EXRs for multi-pass renders, and then using their alpha channels to do mattes. It's been kind of a clusterfuck figuring out the workflow and i'm still fine tuning it. Might try to do a tutorial on it for those who are curious. But we'll see if I can continually reproduce the results.
