Look up the places that your classmates, friends, coworkers, and neighbors are from and listen to each other’s stories. I always tried to imagine how I felt if I was in their shoes.

Remember that you can still research books at the local public libraries, and cross reference the information you get, then make your OWN decisions.

At that age, I would have loved to join protests against us invading other countries and for not intervening in genocides.

I had the same heart and read too many books about WW2, the Holocaust, Japanese Internment (visit Manzanar) and the Cambodian Genocide at the DT public library in the LBC. IYKYK
