I don't typically pat myself on the back for things that happen in games but last night, I ad-libbed the pull quote of the evening for the SNC's #DeltaGreen game:

You try explaining hypergeometry to bags of mostly water. It's not as easy as it looks!

I did truly appreciate the characters absolutely screwing themselves and each other at the cusp of Ring 5. It was thematically brilliant and rules appropriate.

Even if it did involve a giant hoop skirt filled with body parts, weapons and some other dangly bits.

Would absolutely TPK again!

#TrophyRPG was a great system and we'll be returning to it. I think I went too easy on them plus kind of got a bit loopy with the Devil's Bargains. Conditions went sideways pretty quick.

These were all my problems, though, and not the game. Fatigue and bourbon will make you screw up anything.

We didn't play #DeltaGreen due to PAXAUS but we did play #TrophyRPG Dark instead.

Sybil and company, Desire, Sebastian Stan/Gelatin/Jello Shots, and Winda had a solid time. Of course, those weren't their character names but it had been a LONG day for me plus Angel's Envy plus general goofiness.

Game Masters, Storytellers, Directors, Game Mothers, etc... it is time!

The TNC has managed to stop the infernal assassin from killing one of their own in #UrbanShadowsRPG by banishing him back to the hell from whence he game.

He's now texting one of the PCs looking for book recommendations because he's very bored in this particular hell.

Bah, how could I have forgotten that.

Oh, and apparently 'Shed a tear' is a controversial turn of phrase and friendships were ruined over it.

Was fairly obvious to me but hey, what do I know.

I'm also disturbingly good at Codenames though I think it's because I've been GMing these people for over a year/have known them for years. I know how they think.

I also know how to break them when someone decided I need to lose a game but I was their spymaster.

Some memorable highlights :

"The turtle is a unit of measurement much like the squirrel."

Updated slogan for "Virginia is for Lovers." : "Come"

Segway rebranding : "Incel Motivator"

I also have "Hard for Now" noted as pull quote but I was a few drinks in at that point and I can't remember why.

Due to player absence during a key plot point/exposition dump, we didn't play #DeltaGreen this past Saturday. I need to stop writing myself into corners like this.

Instead, we broke our the Jackbox Party games for shenanigans which led to playing Codenames into the wee hours.

Always a good time in #UrbanShadowsRPG when you continually describe the infernal being as horrible and yet the players STILL are shocked when he turns on them.

Remember, wearing glasses, being well read and drinking tea doesn't immediately make you the good guy.

I mean, look at the British.

This is the same group that has come up with squirrel based measurement systems and such memorable quotes as :

"Lovingly, I make a HUMINT roll."
"It's not pleasuring me right now!" - directed at an Elder Sign

And, of course :

"Enough floor play."

I shouldn't have high expectations, really.

Finally got to continue the #DeltaGreen campaign and realized, probably too late, that the players don't really understand how unpleasant a taser really is. If they did, maybe they'd have their characters taser each other less often.

Due to player absence, we ended up doing the #DeltaGreen one-shot "Sentinels of Twilight" instead of the usual campaign.

One PC fatality ( due to a failed attempt to deal with Brandon ) and one car accident later, much creepy fun was had!

Gotta love randomly running stuff at the last minute!

Infernal honorable assassins that you just can't help but love, quantum gnomes ignoring city politics and a nasally vampire prince with a backdrop of the Aurora Borealis.

Another day in the #UrbanShadowsRPG.

Don't you just love a #DeltaGreen game where the PCs get suspicious of one of the other PCs and totally miss the actual PC they need to worry about?

I know I do!

The #SaturdayNightCrew might need more tinfoil for their hats pretty soon...
