watching an iran contra documentary for no good reason

i don't stay on here as much as some, and so i miss a lot and end up seeing conflicting reports, opinions and insults from sources of information that i trust and/or expression that i relate to generally. it's an odd experience. all love to all y'all, ultimately.

I've heard arguments that the reaction to those very policies and the movements that made them possible is what we've been seeing basically since then.

i taught a media studies class in the spring semester of 2020 to high schoolers in East Oakland. the exercise that got them most engaged was asking them their fave media outlets, then showing them how most of them are owned by only a few mega corporations.
