All protests carry that risk to varying degrees in today’s climate. The initial points are salient. And dictating to someone that they’re wrong for suggesting you shouldn’t post identifying features of strangers attending protests in a surveillance state is not a position that I think is wise.

Even using a term like “normies” is, to me, headache inducing. My suggestion to you is this: Attempt to focus on finding and creating allies, not enemies. If someone raises a point or concern, don’t preoccupy yourself with trying to make them look foolish. I don’t want to argue with you, either.

There is zero suggestion people do not attend the protests. There is the idea that you should be aware of the realities of surveillance and subversion. This is, from my perspective, a wild misreading of the suggestion and a sort of insane argument to make against it.

Do you understand the indignity of having strange, masked, unidentified men place their hands on you and restrain you? To rip you off the streets without any legal representation or recourse to defend yourself? This is pure terrorism. MAGA, ICE, and the GOP are terrorist orgs.

I disagree to the net positive. We certainly need more housing, but not through displacing long time residents/families. It’s not just upzoning, and again…Why not build affordable housing in more desirable areas? At any rate, neither of us are stopping it and only time will tell.

Thes are valid points. But you have to understand, they aren’t building in Beverly Hills. They’re planning to develop in lower income neighborhoods near bus/train stops where people are already struggling to live. And that means buying people out of their homes. And these will not be affordable.
