Blue Sky works so much better than Twitter did even before it came X. The algorithm was making it hard to see my friends posts.

I will be after they hopefully give us a refund. I don't want to do anything to hinder that process. Their parent company is trying to facilitate us.

Yes! Way safer, but more expensive. You win some you lose some.

Also they had weeks to check the reservation and cancel or call. They didn't. We got to there and were turned away, like wtf?

They said we didn't inform them, but we checked the "pets" box and wrote that we were bringing cats. What more did they want? A call to confirm? Oh wait we did that.

We have been promised a 100% refund, but it hasn't made up for the stress it caused or the money we had to spend extra because we booked so last minute elsewhere.

We spent about 2 hours sorting it out. We finally found a hotel for about 2x the money.

The kicker is that everyone we talked to (while calling to check if their hotel were pet friendly) kept directing us to that same motel. Everyone was SHOCKED they didn't take cats.

So we got to Edmonton to find that the motel we had prebooked, having called to confirm they accept cats, didn't have a room for us because we have cats. They didn't even immediately give us a refund.

I think the key to this article is the "enjoy being wanted." Love, but let it be a give and take balance.

If you don't want to that's also fine.

Yeah lesson learned. I don't know why it would do that. It didn't even warn us.

Google just randomly took us down a very long unpaved road. It was very dusty. I am mad.

We've been in Manitoba for awhile now! We're doing it! We'll be in Saskatoon tonight and Edmonton tomorrow! Huzzah!

Today I wish I could be with @genevrael.bsky.social celebrating their existence and my absolute adoration of her.

There are very few people as well spoken, as giving, and as kind. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
