I see all this rain hasn’t dampened some people’s decision to set off fireworks tonight rather than any day of the 2 weeks (or more) that surrounded bonfire night.

A match won ultimately in the 1st half. Took our chances again and were clinical. Looks like we decided to defend it out for the 2nd half, which was brave but it worked, offering nothing going forward. Players will need the break and rest now. Defended well. Big blow losing Ozoh. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks and the fact there’s an international break coming up will at least cover some of his time out. #dcfcfans

Put any kind of decent delivery into the box at the moment and the intent is there to finish the chances. We look like a side who have most of their players back and are playing with belief. They don’t. Next goal, if there is one, will be crucial, to avoid any unnecessary alarms. #dcfcfans

Normally we’d need to be emphasising players playing the game rather than the occasion on days like today, but with Eustace and how he goes about things, I doubt we’ll need to worry on that angle. Even if we’re 3-0 down and he has an inflatable snake at his feet he’ll still be unfazed. #dcfcfans

Probably a tad fortunate to nick that one but we ground it out. Needed a bit of luck for the winner but you’ve still got to take the opportunity when it comes. Plenty to like, particularly 1st half, but the way we started the 2nd wasn’t great. Onto Saturday now and another tough game. #dcfcfans

The table, particularly in the middle, is so congested at the moment. There was an element of luck to a couple of our goals on Saturday, luck you could argue we had certainly earned, but that's worth remembering when at some point in the coming games we fall on the other side of things. #dcfcfans

Tonight's game has all the ingredients for a fantastic Championship match. Both sides in good form, lots of good feeling and optimism around the supporters of both clubs. This is football of course, so don't be surprised if it's an absolute shocker. #dcfcfans

A very good away win with a pretty good performance all things considered. A great day for Morris. What a signing he’s been. Odd 2nd half, with a deal of luck for our 2nd and 3rd, but you’ve still got to take them. Defensively resilient. Sets up a mouthwatering next couple of matches. #dcfcfans

Not pretty at times but effective. Back-to-back clean sheets is a big positive. Doesn’t look like we’re going to score many goals in a game any time soon so the defence will need to remain solid. Some positive signs going forward. Time to back it up again next Saturday away from home. #dcfcfans

As comfortable a 1-0 win as you’ll get. The free header aside, they never threatened as we limited them to nothing. Saw it out at the end as it looked like we’d decided to defend it out. Thought Morris was excellent, a real captain and number 9’s performance. Max’s injury a worry. #dcfcfans

Got exactly what we deserved. Outplayed. Without Jacob’s saves it would’ve been even more embarrassing. Forget the hype and the excuses, many of which weren’t valid anyway, and focus on the performances. Any other manager, under the exact same circumstances, would be under more scrutiny. #dcfcfans

Intrigued to see how the balance looks with Adams and Ozoh. Up to them to give Eustace a decision to make when Travis is fit, although we probably know which way he’ll go. Much made of our tough start fixture wise, although our last 3 opponents are currently 13th, 18th and 17th. #dcfcfans

Another international break down. The magic 10 game mark. Playing a team not near the top. More time on the training pitch to boost fitness and work on things. Now is the time, if we hadn’t already, to start judging the team. Draws are fine in the short term IF they’re closer to a win. #dcfcfans

Not a coincidence that a good performance was matched by a good atmosphere today. Before getting too carried away the team will need to back it up after the international break and going forward, but there were some promising signs. Not too many away on international duty is a positive. #dcfcfans

A much better performance and it had to be. Played some good stuff at times. They’ve now set the bare minimum level of effort and performance level. Both keepers had to play well as chances were created. Still plenty to work on as some of the old deficiencies reappeared but a good point. #dcfcfans

Saturday will tell us a lot and will be a big test of character. There are only so many international breaks in a season of course, which is where those pleading for patience keep directing us, before that particular logic and any remaining goodwill will ultimately run out of road. #dcfcfans

This assumption that JE plays open and free flowing football appears to have been based on a second half showing from his Blackburn side against us last season, whereas regular watchers of his previous sides say he's pragmatic, defensive first and favours older players. #dcfcfans

Any other manager, under the exact same circumstances and with the same resources, would also be under scrutiny by now. And if we're honest, probably even more so. Eustace's previous association with the club and his record elsewhere has helped dampen things down up to now. #dcfcfans

The 2 main views, it appears, after last night are acknowledging it's early in the season still, but being concerned about what we've seen on the pitch so far and think it should be better. Both are fair and aren't mutually exclusive. The crowd, in the most part, have been tolerant. #dcfcfans
