I wear it every Friday (term-time) as do a number of my colleagues. It’s always great fun to see the kids faces when the realise we have the same tie on. PS it is not my very best tie, that one I save for parents evenings and special days!

One student doubled the price of the 4 pack, thus finding the cost for 8 rolls. The 9th roll would have cost more than 58p, this must be the best value cheaper, because the cost of 8 rolls was less than £4 (ie less than 50p ea) more difficult to explain, but great #reallifemaths

In #mathstoday I was working through a classic best buy problem involving a 4-pack and 9-pack of toilet rolls by calculating the cost per roll. Very pleased when one student asked if he could calculate the cost of 36 rolls instead.
