For the sake of my friends in New York, I really hope Mayor Mamdani is everything Candidate Mamdani was. But even if he isn't because, well, politics, it is truly lovely to watch a racist sex pest piece of shit like Andrew Cuomo lose TWICE in the same year.

Because everyone wants to help erase war crimes. Fuck all these companies that bootlick those fucking fascists!

Unlike a lot of comrades, I'm charitable, and assume the majority will radicalize or at least be fine, but there's gonna be a long long period of "What do you mean we're opposed to [racism/whatever]?! I thought our sole plank was [universal healthcare/whatever]! God, you f--s are lame." fights.

Every time there's a big Thing that draws a tons of normies into progressive politics all I can think about is the fucking years we're going have to spend weeding out all the fucking Chapo, Dimes Square, etc etc etc folks who are primarily chasing coolness rather than driven by core ethical values.
