Thanks, Sam. Those were some of the best years of my life. And since they were also some of the hardest (due to losing so much family during that period), the dogs made all the difference in my ability to weather it. Sweet Pea was the one who ‘lead from behind’ for us.

I took a screenshot of the oregano to order, and am looking forward to the pdfs. I do love the earthy, citrusy flavor of a good oregano. I grow it, but don’t use much of it fresh. Mine’s an old plant and has lost some of its oomph. I do like it better dried.

I’ve been eating a lot of ramen bowls lately, and picked up some interesting greens to add from the Asian market. Some weird little pork meatballs, too — with the texture of hot dogs. Mixed reviews.

I can just see Ziti doing this. And imagine what Orzo gets up to outside. Probably knocking over garbage cans and tagging the sides of buildings.

Thanks, Jill. She deserved more and better, but this is what I could do. She brought out the best in everyone, and did it so gently. I think of her now with her sisters, and smile at the thought of her being part of a pack again.
