This is one of the best games I played last year. Laugh out loud funny, surprising, really well paced and a lot of fun. For the size, length, and what it tries to achieve, Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau is essentially perfect. Delightedly double dipping.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a 10/10 banger. Exceptionally well paced and wonderfully clever.

That fight and the mech fight in the harbour were the best bits. I'd take a whole game of that (I remember enjoying Front Mission Evolved).

I consider my prize to have seen this game through. Your tip about pistols being the headshot weapon really opened the game up for me.

Finally finished Left Alive. Extremely cool concept (survive in a city warzone and there are mechs), but they didn't manage to bring it all together. A fascinating collection of ideas bumping up against each other. When you begin, it feels unplayable but then you learn it and have fun. Wanzers rule!
