Scripting OCI Objects creation using CLI Create and secure your Object Storage buckets using OCI CLI scripts

I recently needed a quick (and reusable) way of setting up OCI Object Storage Buckets and access to them for a personal project.

Read my blog post to see how I scripted all the steps using the OCI CLI, using some help from AI and Jon Dixon's original tutorial ✨

We got a great overview of the capabilities of the new SQLcl Project feature. No better person to present it than @apexconsulting.nl - one of the first to use it for his CI/CD pipeline in production! In my opinion - the way APEX (and database) versioning and deployment will be done in the future 💡

Awesome session by @moreaux-louis.bsky.social about the importance of learning web technologies. Accompanied by really useful examples of many of the new CSS features that could improve your UI/IX, but also make your life as a developer easier and keep your code clean 💡 ⤵️

Great introduction by @msewtz.bsky.social! Focus on AI with lots of features now available in APEX, such as Vector Search, RAG and APEX Assistants.
And of course - an introduction to the much needed APEX Lang, that should be available in the next releases 💡 ⤵️

While in VS Code, open a Terminal window and launch SQLcl in nolog mode:

▶️ sql /nolog

Then store the export file’s password in SQLcl’s secret manager:

▶️ secret set myExportPass MyExportPassword

Import the JSON file:

▶️ connmgr import -key myExportPass /path/to/SQLDev-connections.json

🎉🎉🎉

🔸 Protect the export file with a password to encrypt sensitive credentials. Save the file (e.g., SQLDev-connections.json) to a location on your machine.

Ensure SQLcl version 23.3 or later is installed. This is bundled with both SQL Developer and the VS Code extension.
