North Dakota Ethics Commission Has No Authority to Punish Officials Violating Ethics Laws, State Leaders Argue Voters created an ethics watchdog agency seven years ago. But officials keep pushing to weaken it, even as North Dakotans are filing a record number of complaints.

North Dakota officials claim the state’s Ethics Commission has no power to discipline lawmakers.

That’s not how voters understood it, says Ellen Chaffee, part of the BadAss Grandmas who led the push to create the commission.

Wikipedia: On 28th February 1998, a fraudulent research paper by physician Andrew Wakefield and twelve coauthors, titled "Ileal-Lymphoid-Nodular Hyperplasia, Non-Specific Colitis, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder in Children", was published in the British medical journal The Lancet.[1] The paper falsely claimed causative links between the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine and colitis and between colitis and autism. The fraud involved data selection, data manipulation, and two undisclosed conflicts of interest.

He has a tiny wrinkle on his back where they shaved him 🥹

He couldn't pee for 24 hours which I knew is a common issue with male cats and can be deadly. He had a blocked urethra. I got him into the vet just in time, it was in early stages and he had no kidney damage. He's recovering now. I got this pic in the middle of the night from the hospital. 💗

My cat is okay.

My kitty is in the vet hospital. I woke up last night and realized he can't pee. Decided to go to bed and hope it doesn't fuck him up too much and took him right away this morning. And all I can do is browse the fucking internet to distract myself and then feel more upset about the world.
