Tommy Robinson: 'I challenge any journalist to come to Luton and find Muslims with non Muslims.'

I'm a journalist from Luton and this man is talking utter nonsense. A pleasure to work on this film, chatting to incredible people in my hometown and separating fact from fiction.

Excellent journalism.

Shows the resilience of communities.

The brilliance of humanity.

And the real thing driving people to the far right - rising wealth inequality and misinformation.

This is the type of journalism our country needs.

This is an excellent piece of reportage by journalist and historian @tajali1.bsky.social from the streets of Luton, recently targetted by #far-right trouble makers.

NEWS: I’ve set up an independent anti-racist reporting and monitoring organisation. We’ll document racist attacks, support victims, pressure authorities to act, and amplify the voices of smaller, more isolated Black and Asian communities across Britain.🧡

In the early phases, we’ll signpost support, collect data + advocate. With your backing, we can go further, giving time to individual cases and amplifying the voices of smaller, isolated Black and Asian communities whose experiences too often go unheard.

Far too often, racism is either unreported or dismissed as anti-social behaviour. Our platform will gather verified reports and push to ensure they’re taken seriously by the media and public institutions. Share, report, support. ⬇️

From revolutionaries fighting for freedom to seafarers coordinating global strikes, South Asians have a rich tradition of political activism in Britain. I'll be delivering the Frow Memorial Lecture in Salford this year on this incredible history.

My mum, Swatanter Mayor (1940–2024), was part of the 1984 Ford Dagenham strike for equal pay. Her journey was one of resilience and strength, fighting for fairness in the workplace. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of trade unions and collective action.

Labour has delivered a cruel hammer blow to disabled people Devastating cuts to benefits won’t help anyone back to work

β€œIt’s all very worrying. The stress has caused mum’s physical condition to worsen and she has been hospitalised with the worst case of shingles her nurse has ever seen.”

Labour's cruel assault on disabled people will push 250,000 people into poverty. My column.

Keir Starmer promised no return to austerity. Now, Labour is delivering the most punishing disability benefit cuts the nation has ever seen.

@tajali1.bsky.social on how the party has shattered its pledge β€” and who will pay the price.

Labour needs to take back control from the populist right Keir Starmer's government should adopt a leftwing populist programme – workers' rights, renationalising utilities, taxing the super-rich

'Take back control’ should be a slogan of the left, not the right, writes @tajali1.bsky.social in this week's column.

He urges Labour to achieve this by strengthening workers' rights, renationalising water and energy companies and taxing the super-rich.

Reform present themselves as an anti-establishment party whilst being financed by and ideologically wedded to elites.

A populist agenda focused on taking back control from profiteering companies and improving living standards is the antidote. My latest.

Fears, anguish and frustration in a northern UK town hit by racist riots Middlesbrough, which has witnessed several episodes of discriminatory violence, is far from healed, say residents.

6 months on from the worst instance of racist riots in living memory, I visited Middlesbrough to speak to Muslims about their experiences. It's clear that the atmosphere of hate that fuelled the violence is far from over.

This will not work. Parroting the far-right only strengthens the far-right. They set the agenda. They win the ideological battle. In the end, voters prefer the original to the copy. That's the story across Europe.
