Absolutely bonkers

Fears, anguish and frustration in a northern UK town hit by racist riots Middlesbrough, which has witnessed several episodes of discriminatory violence, is far from healed, say residents.

6 months on from the worst instance of racist riots in living memory, I visited Middlesbrough to speak to Muslims about their experiences. It's clear that the atmosphere of hate that fuelled the violence is far from over.

This will not work. Parroting the far-right only strengthens the far-right. They set the agenda. They win the ideological battle. In the end, voters prefer the original to the copy. That's the story across Europe.
