I find it odd whenever gamers play an RPG with a unique feature and their takeaway is “all RPGs should be this now”. If every game does Dark Souls combat, what makes their combat special? If every game adds E33’s parrying then is it still exciting? There’s this increasing desire for homogenization

Did I at any point say that the protestors were telling me what I already know? I’ve been pretty clear that protesting and voting is my job as a citizen.

But that is my job as a citizen. Just as it is my job to vote. I do not need an elected official (or an unelected official, for that matter) to tell me what I need to support or do. She’d essentially just tell me what I already know. Much like the other participants already engaged in the work.

Large swaths of the public has already decided it’s bad. Thus the protests. You have another large swath that thinks it’s great. That swath isn’t listening to her. It would be an exercise of preaching to the choir. We have to act. A magical speech from her or Obama ain’t gonna cut it.

I have the power of my vote. Which I used on Tuesday in a district election. She has no power of a congressional or vice presidential vote at this time. So her speaking would do…what?
