In 2018, RIT supported the construction of Katya's enclosure, the place she would call home for the rest of her days. Katya was the oldest Amur tiger in any Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) zoo. She will be missed dearly.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Katya, Seneca Park Zoo's beautiful Amur tiger. For 20 years, Katya inspired and educated our RIT community, as well as millions of visitors from throughout the region. Our hearts go out to our zoo family and all of her wonderful caretakers.
