After hours on end testing, configuring, and modifying tons of different email apps, color themes, automation, and workflows for my email, I have decided to give up: No matter what I do, email will just never be enjoyable.

Just built Emacs (30.1) from source for the first time, then installed Doom Emacs and THIS is something difference in terms of performance and responsivity. Can’t believe I haven’t done this before, with the right guides it wasn’t even that difficult. #emacs

Being in Org mode and doing C-c C-c or something similar at the wrong place gives you a message that “C-c C-c can do nothing useful here” and it feels just like using your inventory in old Sierra and Lucasart point-and-click adventures games:“How can you do that?"/“Nothing happens”. #orgmode #gaming

I used to get excited when I bought a new phone but I keep putting it off even though my smartphone should have been replaced a year ago. All of the alternatives are bad and I deeply dislike the experience of using a phone and the intrusion & forced necessity of having one in today’s society.

Ja det var lenge. Det har vel kanskje pågått en stund når jeg tenker meg om, er bare fryktelig lite opptatt av disse tingene personlig og stenger det ute, men det er først de senere årene at det hele har blitt MYE. Oppdaget f.eks at mange venner/kolleger har aksjer, og det prates og prates

Jeg bor jo fortsatt trangt og jævlig på Bjølsen haha. Men jeg jobber jo i et "markanært område" (Oppsal) og mange jeg kjenner har flytta lengre ut. Er noe med at verden på en måte blir mindre: "Kultur" er hva du har sett på Netflix i det siste, faglig påfyll er innleid foredragsholder på jobben etc

Noe av det verste med livet etter fylte 40 er hvordan samtale og samvær med andre dras i en smal småborgerlig retning. Alle snakker jo bare om renter, boliglån, arv, oppussing, rekkehus, skolekretser og nærhet til marka. Jeg orker ikke mer.
