01.08.2025 06:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I guess I have to switch to another browser or use some plugin. I don't want to see that stupid AI generated nonsense at the top of my search results.
07.07.2025 21:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Version 1.2 of py-predicate will probably allow property based testing, but also run-time instrumentation of a function against a specification: github.com/mrijk/py-pre...
21.06.2025 20:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Working on #Clojure spec like functionality for py-predicate: github.com/mrijk/py-pre... . This will allow users to test functions based on predicates for their parameters.
18.06.2025 18:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So your #python function has a type signature with a float. Now let's test that and call it with math.inf and see what happens.
16.06.2025 19:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0py-predicate can now dynamically generate lambda functions with a variable nr of parameters. Bit of magic involved with types.FunctionType but no 'eval' needed. github.com/mrijk/py-pre...
11.06.2025 20:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of course I was exaggerating somewhat, but I see frontend devs endlessly trying to get 'the types right', sprinkling in generics, while at the end what's needed is a simple view-only page. Could easily be done in half or less of that code (and effort) if done in plain JavaScript.
11.06.2025 17:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0#TypeScript is nice for developers who previously developed clunky corporate #Java applications and accidentally moved to frontend development. Imho frontends shouldn't care about business logic and types.

09.06.2025 11:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So many ideas for new functionality of my composable #python predicate library. Working towards the next release of py-predicate. github.com/mrijk/py-pre...

31.05.2025 21:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Watched Terminator 1 yesterday. Noticed that a robot coming back from 2029 is still running an 8 bit 6502 microprocessor instruction set. So probably we have nothing to fear from AI in the near future.

Combined with slow external systems in our federation that lead to many issues. If you want more details, you can reach me at maurits.rijk@gmail.com
