The response from the MP for St Catharines, not the Government.

04.10.2025 22:04 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0My reponse to Marineland's letter to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans:
04.10.2025 20:40 β π 35 π 14 π¬ 4 π 3A minute isnβt nearly enough to say goodbye to a friend as accomplished as Jim Bradley. But it was important for me to rise in the House and pay tribute to his remarkable life of service.
02.10.2025 20:33 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Marineland requested federal approval to sell beluga whales to a facility in China. The Minister of Fisheries has rightly denied that request.
01.10.2025 14:01 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Iβll miss my friend. Our calls often mixed solving the worldβs problems with lamenting our beloved Blue Jays. Learning of his passing on the way to a Jays game made tonightβs win more special.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0St. Catharines & Niagara will miss Jim deeply. He loved this region & its peopleβand it showed in everything he did.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0His political superpower? Knowing what mattered to regular folksβnot just what he called βthe chattering class.β After 2018, many said they wished they had listened to Jim more.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Jimβs dedication was unmatched. He went to everything. When I was first elected, he even shared his detailed schedule with me, knowing how vital it was to be present. I could barely keep up.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As Environment Minister, Jim shaped Ontario: securing agreements to end acid rain & introducing the blue box. In Niagara, his legacy includes the widened QEW, our new hospital, the Performing Arts Centre & preserving Malcomson Eco Park.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First elected to City Council in 1970, few in St. Catharines can remember a time when Jim wasnβt serving. In 1977, he entered the Legislatureβinto opposition, a sign of his popularityβand became Ontarioβs 2nd-longest-serving MPP.
27.09.2025 16:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0To borrow a line from Shakespeare, Jim Bradley was as constant as the Northern Star.

Horrific news from the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre in St. Catharines, where a child was tragically killed.
Words canβt express the heartbreak.
Our community mourns with the family and loved ones. In moments like this, we must come together and support one another.
Last week, Pierre Poilievre and Conservative MPs attacked the Crown prosecutors in the Tamara Lich / Chris Barber convoy trial
What's maybe more remarkable is Poilievre only did this after far-right influencers called him out and began questioning his leadership
I broke this down for @thestar.com:
Weβre not perfect, but our strength lies in our people, our values, and our willingness to face the future together. Thatβs worth celebrating.
Wishing everyone a safe and proud Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day! π¨π¦
This year feels different. At a time when Canada faces new global challenges, weβre also seeing Canadians come together in ways we havenβt in years.
This means:
β Better pay and care for troops
β New gear, tech, and Arctic defence
β Stronger Coast Guard + cyber and space capacity
β Support for veterans
β Jobs + innovation in Canadaβs defence industry
In a more dangerous world, weβre stepping up to defend our sovereignty and our values
Big news from PM Mark Carney today: Canada is rebuilding, rearming, and reinvesting in our Armed Forces.
Weβre hitting NATOβs 2% defence target this yearβ5 years early.
Canadaβs new government just introduced the Strong Borders Act β focused on safety, security, and integrity.
It strengthens:
πΉ Border inspections
πΉ Coast Guard patrols & intel
πΉ Immigration + asylum systems
πΉ Anti-money laundering rules
πΉ Canada Postβs authority to stop crime by mail
Canadaβs new cabinet met for the first time this morning.
One of our first orders of business: a tax cut for the middle class. Starting July 1, hard-working Canadians will keep more of their paycheques.
Thank you, St. Catharines! Iβm honoured and humbled to be re-elected for a fourth term in Parliament. Itβs the privilege of a lifetime to serve this community. Iβm ready to get back to work and continue fighting for you.
29.04.2025 22:19 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bas Slujimers skipped the only local debateβand now we know why. Comparing a womanβs right to choose to the Holocaust is vile and extremist. In 2025, weβre still fighting for bodily autonomy. St. Catharines deserves better.

It is concerning that the Conservative candidate did not show up to the only debate scheduled for St. Catharines.
If you want the job, you have to show up for work. Itβs about being accountable and standing up for what we believe in, even if others disagree.
It was a great open house at the campaign office for @chrisbittle.bsky.social last night. Thereβs lots of hard work ahead but Chris has a fantastic team.
27.03.2025 19:03 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0@katekw.bsky.social and I are lending our front lawn to @chrisbittle.bsky.social for the election campaign. Heβs a good friend and has been a wonderful MP for St. Catharines.

Over the past few weeks, weβve been reminded that in times of crisis, you want Justin Trudeau in your cornerβfighting for you.
As we choose a new leader today, I just want to say: It has been an honour to serve with him.
Thank you, Prime Minister.
Over 135,000 Liberals have been verified, and over 114,000 have already voted. Are you ready to have your say? Verification ends tomorrow at 5pm ET!
Here's how you can confirm your eligibility, verify your identity, and vote for the next Liberal Leader β¬οΈ
As Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure & Housing, I want to work with local leaders on solutions.
Not a single Niagara Regional Councillor has reached out. Itβs easier to blame othersβbut that wonβt build homes.
This is a crisis. Letβs act like it.
