N.I.H. Worker Who Criticized Trump Health Policies Says She Is on Administrative Leave

You donโ€™t speak up inside a captured agency because itโ€™s fun. You do it because the stakes are deadly serious.

Dr. Norton was placed on administrative leave for defending Americansโ€™ health. She's a hero for saying what needs to be said. We stand with her.

Fossil fuel lobbyists outnumber all Cop30 delegations except Brazil, report says One in every 25 participants at 2025 UN climate summit is a fossil fuel lobbyist, according to Kick Big Polluters Out

More than 1,600 fossil fuel lobbyists granted access to the Cop30 climate negotiations in Belรฉm (Brazil), 12% up from last yearโ€™s talks in Baku, Azerbaijan.

What should be the most serious, urgent talks on the planet continue to be a farce.

The Verdict of History Trump and his fascist glorification

open.substack.com/pub/robertre...
Great quick read from Robert Reich
Trump is a monster. He is an aspiring dictator who wants to wield the same power as a Stalin or Hitler, and he wants to be remembered through statues, stadiums and ballrooms.
He should be remembered as both a liar and traitor

What Climate Change Will Do to America by Mid-Century Many places may become uninhabitable. Many people may be on their own.

Trump asks supreme court to throw out juryโ€™s finding in E Jean Carroll lawsuit Writer and author had testified, and won, at trial that the president had sexually assaulted her in the mid-1990s Donald Trump asked the US supreme court on Monday to throw out a juryโ€™s finding in a civil lawsuit that he sexually abused writer E Jean Carroll at a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s and later defamed her. Trumpโ€™s lawyers argued in a lengthy filing with the high court that allegations leading to the $5m verdict were โ€œpropped upโ€ by a โ€œseries of indefensible evidentiary rulingsโ€ that allowed Carrollโ€™s lawyers to present โ€œhighly inflammatory propensity evidenceโ€ against him. We cannot afford a divided and weak opposition party when an authoritarian is invading our cities, terrorizing our communities, and corruptly self-enriching at the expense of the rest of us.

We want to celebrate a Democratic Party that fights back. But after this latest surrender, the next step is primaries and new leadership. We get the party we demand, and we intend to demand one that fights.

Trump nominates ex-New Mexico lawmaker to oversee public lands President names Steve Pearce to lead agency that manages a quarter-billion acres, about 10% of land in US

Trump's pick to oversee our public lands, former Rep. Steve Pearce, has a lifetime 4% LCV score thanks to an extensive anti-public lands and anti-environmental track record.

Public lands belong to us, not polluters.
