And what are they going to do in the two days between end of season and ST renewal deadline, if we've gone down and hardly anyone's renewed?

Today the Israelis ordered the evacuation of the southern suburbs of Beirut. This included a couple Palestinian refugee camps. People who were displaced during the Nakba or in 67, settled in Beirut and now their grand/great grandchildren are once again displaced.

Saying relegation seemed unthinkable six weeks ago - why did he think Spurs fans were so angry with Frank at that time?

However bad we are, we'll never be as bad as Sam Matterface.

Always hate cameras picking out individual fans. We're not there to give commentators a cheap line.

I have to specify even further:

The Israelis are even telling people which roads to take. That’s why there are two colours.

There is mass panic

BBC's Ben Wright describing Trump's comments about Starmer as 'brutal' rather than, say, petulant is certainly a choice.

Lessons from β€˜Letters to Loved Ones’ A project transcribing letters from WWII brought history to life.

I recently finished a 3-month project transcribing letters and documents for an IWM / DCMS project marking the 80th anniversary of VE / VJ Day.

It was a moving and fascinating project.

Here are some of my lessons from the Letters to Loved Ones archive and links to letters I think you should read.

Refugee status to be temporary as Shabana Mahmood rips up rules on UK asylum Home secretary announces 30-month protection limit, with refugees required to leave if their home countries are later judged safe

Today is a dark day for anyone who believes in sanctuary in the UK.

People who've fled war and torture should be able to rebuild their lives in peace and security - not live under a constant threat of removal.

We must not stop fighting these appalling anti-refugee laws.

Wow this is awful. The one thing he can’t fake is empathy.

If he keeps this up the US will be made to pull out and Israel France and Britain will be left in a sort of reverse Suez.

Even those who you think should be the kind - Palhinha and Gallagher - showed little of it today.

Always said we just need to match West Ham and Forest's results and we'll be ok...

Blimey. Some Spurs fans, including myself, have messaged the club about this but I don't think any of us have had an adequate response. I realise many of their overseas audience is more likely to be on X, but there's no excuse for not cross-posting to here.

It would make a big difference if football clubs were active on BlueSky - there's no reason for them not to be, even if they want to stay on X as well.

Interesting reference to 'cliques' among the squad. I've often thought this season how much Sonny was the glue that held the dressing room together last year.

I know it's not the main issue, but what's the FIFA protocol for when a host nation for a world cup attacks or declares war against a participating nation in the run up to the competition? especially when the head of the host nation is in receipt of your inaugural peace prize?

Merton is also currently considering plans by Criterion to build three new blocks behind the one they're evicting people from in Colliers Wood. And the company owes the council money for emergency work it had to carry out.

They've completely lost sight of who votes for them and why. "Don't risk splitting the progressive vote" is hardly a rallying cry.

How Russia’s War Has Devastated Civilian Life in Ukraine - bellingcat Russia's full-invasion of Ukraine began four years ago today. While Ukraine has resisted, the impact on civilian life continues to be severe.

Exactly four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Bellingcat’s Volunteer Community looks back at the data we have collected on civilian harm during this time - documenting attacks on cities and the near-total destruction of rural villages. www.bellingcat.com/news/2026/02...

I wanted to find out more about the Aziz Foundation but their web domain name has expired, which is a bit of an oversight for a charity with so much money and influence.

Who's the billionaire behind London’s biggest mass eviction? He's the London philanthropist who says he's committed to solving homelessness. So why is Asif Aziz's Criterion Capital rushing to make hundreds of Londoners homeless in the coming weeks?

London’s β€œworst mass eviction in recent history” is underway; hundreds of households across London told to get out of their homes this week by the same landlord, ahead of the renters rights act. The landlord? Billionaire Asif Aziz’s Criterion Capital. www.londoncentric.media/p/asif-aziz-...

I'm sure that quote is made up. It's remarkable how quickly it's spread (though likely a sign of its plausibility)!

It might sound plausible, but I'm pretty sure that quote is made up, as there's no reliable source for it.
