Aside from fellow reprobate @rjbarker.bsky.social who else will be going to @easterconuk.bsky.social ?

Obviously @aptshadow.bsky.social will be there as we're doing a live show of Starship Alexandria.

Just wondering who else I can look forward to seeing there, to help fight the nerves!

Sorry if I'm being an absolute menace with all the Jitterbug content today, I'm just really excited it's finally out and you all get to read it!

The Apologists by Tade Thompson Clarkesworld Science Fiction and Fantasy Magazine and Podcast.

My novella, THE APOLOGISTS, is a finalist for the BSFA awards.

You can read and/or listen to at. @clarkesworldmagazine.com Link below.

On the one hand, yay!

On the other hand, I've been nominated for the BSFA many times. I never win. So, boo!

But you can still enjoy the story.

Currently editing the next Starship Alexandria patrons-only episode (released on the 9th) and my favourite quote so far from @aptshadow.bsky.social is: "Well, I don't think you've seen the wonders of my carboniferous cottage."

My son has got tickets to see him and can barely contain his excitement! Was there an opportunity to get anything signed?

Well, this book not only met my expectations but also far exceeded them. The way in which The Kraken Wakes successively shifts gear over its three β€˜phases’ makes it a joy to read (with full-on β€˜disaster novel’ mode switched on for the finale). Time now to enjoy this insightful analysis πŸ‘‡

OKAY BIG ONE FOR YA

NEW report out today: I dig deep into how big tech has been muddling tech types and overstating evidence to claim "AI" will make global emissions drop like a stone....

Not only will it not, it seems to be verifiably doing the opposite!!

What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

I don't think I could do that. I couldn't trust myself. If I picked up a puffling I would form such an instant, intense bond I reckon it would break me to have to throw them off a cliff. I'm too soft.
