Application to help creators share their Bluesky posts with their Discord communities. No paywalls. Does not require adding a bot to your Discord server for minimal intrusiveness. See pinned post for usage instructions. Developed by @drnyanpasu.moe
Changelog v0.8.2
- Fixed bug that prevented certain quoted posts from being posted
Changelog v0.8.0
- User avatars are now included in the Discord embed
- Quoted posts will now link to their author's profile
- Added spacing between embed text and footer
Changelog v0.7.1
- Fixed a bug that would lead to new users having their post cache initialized incorrectly and their posts being reposted several times
Changelog v0.7.0:
- GIF embeds are now supported
- Quoted posts will now properly embed for posts that contain both a quote and other media embeds
Changelog v0.6.2
- Reduced log verbosity for timeouts caused by Bluesky API networking issues
Changelog v6.0.1
- `https://discordapp.com` webhook URLs are now supported in addition to `https://discord.com` and will register correctly
- Bot will send a DM to users if they try to register a faulty webhook URL
Changelog v0.6.0
- Fixed bug where deleting latest post would result in prior posts being re-published
- Changed the way post caching works which should prevent accidental resends of posts
Changelog v0.5.0
- Posts are now sent as Discord embeds to the webhook, no longer relying on URL embeds
- Supports embedding multiple pictures and text of quoted posts
- Does not support video embeds at this time
Since just posting the URL of a post to Discord at the moment doesn't seem to produce proper embeds in quite a few cases, I'll probably change the logic to send an embed directly containing the extracted post information.
05.11.2024 09:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Changelog v0.4.1
- Bot now replies in DMs to let the user now the webhook was registered
- Bot will now unregister any webhooks that fail to publish 20 times in a row
- Remove the need to DM 'stop' to the bot to unregister a webhook, just delete it on Discord instead
"Who is this bot meant for?"
Content creators such as streamers, artists, musicians etc., who have a Discord community server and don't want to manually copy and paste their Bluesky posts from here to their server.
"How do I stop receiving messages?"
Just delete the webhook you created in your Discord channel's settings.

02.11.2024 14:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quickstart
1. On Discord edit the channel you'd like the bot to post to
2. Integrations -> Create Webhook
3. Copy the webhook URL
4. DM this account ONLY the webhook URL, nothing more
5. Wait up to 5 min for the registration
6. Done
"Can I get the posts of other users to my Discord channel as well?"
No. This bot is only meant to publish your own posts as a way for content creators to share their posts to their Discord communities so they don't have to manually copy and paste them there.
"Where can I ask questions / report bugs?"
You can DM my personal account @drnyanpasu.moe and I'll try to answer any questions you may have.
"Is this free?"
Yes, no strings attached.
There is no charge for this and no premium functionality etc.
I just wanted to provide a simple way for people to get their posts to Discord. I pay for the infrastructure the bot utilizes out of my own pocket.
"What posts will the bot publish?"
The bot will only publish your direct posts, meaning all reposts and replies to other users' posts won't be sent. I have no intention of changing this behavior for now.
Be advised, that I (the developer) have full visibility of the webhook URL you register. In theory this means I could send arbitrary messages to it. I can assure you I won't, but you'll have to take my word for it. In the worst case, just delete the webhook and that's it.
01.11.2024 16:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I guarantee no uptimes and there will probably be bugs, since it isn't heavily tested by more than one user for now. I will fix any bugs when I have time.
01.11.2024 16:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"How reliable is this bot?"
This bot was mostly built for fun and to help streamer friends get their posts to their Discord communities like they did on the other platform. For now, it's a very early build that is not designed for a large number of users.
"How safe is this?"
The only thing this bot can do, is send messages to exactly the one channel you gave it. It can not in any way read messages on your server, modify your server, see the members, the server name or anything else. It is in that way a lot less intrusive than a standard Discord bot.
"How does this bot work exactly?"
The bot will periodically check the direct posts (no replies or reposts) of all registered accounts. If it finds new ones (it will keep track of the last it has seen), it will send their URLs to the Discord channel that you registered.
