I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

as far as Janus is concerned, the whole thing was entirely unprovoked, in the middle of the night. he still doesn't know what exactly happened but he didn't get the chance to hear any excuses before DJ was thrown out

Janus, a beast demon like DJ... and the reason DJ was kicked out of their gang. They used to be close until DJ attacked him; stopped thanks to gangmates' intervention after "only" shredding his wings. Janus has always been afraid of achieving a full form and this incident didnt help!!

i'm being scheduled in place of our full-timer out on medical leave and that's on top of also needing someone (me) to fill my usual part-time hours LOL :v one of our regulars asked me jokingly if they ever let me go home and i earnestly answered "no" msdfnsdnfd

YEAH GOD we'll see!!!!! so far so good but every time i sit down to sketch i feel like i dont know anything LMAOO just gotta build that muscle memory back up again 😂😂 it has the fun side effect of having to relearn how to draw my ocs' faces though oops

it feels and looks very different to me at least and thats kind of the goal haha 😅 expect my stuff to just look a little wonky while i get used to it :v i still have a ton of backlog as always though so it might not appear publically for a while

outwardly, it probably wont look that different, but im changing some underlying building blocks to hopefully give myself a little more 3d versatility as an end result, and lemme tell you it is a struggle LOL
