There needs to be a tax on empty units, that escalates every 6 months or so, in order to discourage this hoarding of stock. Make it more expensive to hold on to empty housing to the point it's cheaper to sell.

I took the opposite from that. It sounded more like people who rank queer rights higher are privileged enough to make that their cause, while less privileged folks prioritize other aspects of government work.
