03.03.2026 14:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm sorry that happened. Iβve noticed that political games are being played too. For example, PM Carney is up in the polls and people are using his statement against him in hopes of declining his votes. This is how good governments get replaced with bad ones (PP) with the drip, drip of attacks.

03.03.2026 13:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Almost like shutting down safe consumption sites and funneling money away from harm reduction and into abstinence grifting makes things less safe and increases harms. This is consistent with decades of data and was completely predictable.

I donβt normally make personal comments but this morning was a bit much.
First, was told Iβm morally depraved and to get fu*ked and another account accused me of supporting the Iraq war (never did).
Rather than name and shame, Iβm just hoping for better social skills and reading comprehension.
Of course I didnβt support the Iraq war. Thatβs not what I said.
03.03.2026 12:46 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Now the war is on and our friends are embattled. While we are not participating in the coalition, for reasons have expressed, let us be very clear that this government and all Canadians hope for a quick victory for the U.S.-led coalition with a minimum of casualties. We share the concerns of our American, British and Australian friends for their sons and daughters who are bravely fighting. We share concerns for the safety of Iragi civilians. We care about the outcome even if we are not participants in the war. This means that we should not say things that could give comfort to Saddam Hussein and this means that we should not do things that would create real difficulties for the coalition.
Lloyd Axworthy is rewriting history: he supported Prime Minister Jean ChrΓ©tien although he was not in Parliament at that time. Below is Prime Minister Jean ChrΓ©tienβs statement, including more support for πΊπΈ than Prime Minister Carney gave:

Sasha you really have to improve your social skills because calling me morally depraved is not a good convo starter.
Neither is asking rhetorical questions when you know the answer - not having Canadians on the frontlines saves lives on both sides. We canβt stop this war - we do what we can.
I agree with John that itβs the important question. Not the only one but crucial because we arenβt sending our military to get killed and we arenβt opening our civilians to increased risk of to attacks by terrorists. I canβt think of anything more important than that.

Wish we were in ye olde days when leaders declared war and then led their troops in battle because today leaders declare war and then just sit in rooms observing deaths of brave women and men soldiers and innocent civilians.
How many wars would start if leaders had to join their troops in battle?
