Rescue work in war is never just rescue work.
Hidden UXO, unstable structures, secondary hazards.
Every decision is a balance between helping others and staying alive.

During rescue in rubble, the danger isn’t only collapse.
Unexploded ordnance may be hidden under debris.
Movement alone can trigger it.
If you suspect UXO: slow down and call specialists.

Why do people touch UXO even when they don’t really know what it is?
Because they think they’re being helpful.
Old explosives don’t become safer with time. They become more unpredictable.
One of the most dangerous people around UXO is the one who decides to carry it “out of the way”.
