kind of cool being into a multiplayer game everyone else is. Spent big chunks of the weekend hanging with different coteries of homies, catching up, tooling around. silver lining to a real bad weekend

Yeah I think it’s a hit. Even the rage bait has a β€œbut you’re thinking of me” quality to it

You can just share stuff about xenoblade, I think Ken would eat it up. (Alex would not)

do em in order I say. s2 is interesting, probably plays a lot better removed from the hype and expectation of it being like 1. Ray Velcoro is one of the all-time guys. 3 is the only one I never finished, because it tried to formalize what the show is and I got bored. (Night country good)

This movie is so good man

Ngl I almost threw the book out when project hail Mary’s dedication was to John Paul George and ringo. And then again when I saw that was plot relevant. Maybe I should just quit while I’m ahead

reading Andy Weir and this guy feels just like Michael Crichton but goofier. And a little less misanthropic. What if Michael Crichton didn’t have enemies, real or imagined

hell-lloooooooOOOOOooooOooOOO
[I love dougie jones but he is a very funny and frustrating swerve lol. Incredibly rewarding on a rewatch]

Man I gotta watch this show again, what a good show

Truly think it comes down to style! I think in games there’s a tendency to truly believe the best game wins, but sometimes it’s just the ones streamers gravitate. And sometimes, very rarely, a game goes for cool and pulls it off. I think marathon is cool! And people are responding to that

And you know, you can extend from this to a real important corallary to "Everyone is 12 Now" theory is "There has been a generation-long project to keep people 12."

Conservative news and opinon outlets, regressive mass audience entertainment products, etc. all propagandize a chilidish worldview.

I have been curious about this for almost ten years now, and that’s on me β€” I’m just impressed at how good at not talking about this one thing openly people have been for all ten of those years

There’s some of that yeah! But it’s become just a thing people want because of performance issues and what not. Which they can fix without a remake!

27.02.2026 22:39 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah unfortunately distribution is a whole other weird process

27.02.2026 22:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

honestly a little embarrassing so many people want a remake of a game they can just play right now and works just fine

it was very funny to do a podcast talking about resident evil and immediately do another talking about talking about resident evil

Somebody should turn on the lights, literally and figuratively. Williamson, as many know, came onboard after two sets of directors departed the project. Along the way, Scream 7 became a source of controversy when Melissa Barrera, who had starred in the two previous entries, was fired over social-media posts critical of Israel in the wake of its invasion of Gaza. Soon thereafter, her co-star Jenna Ortega also left, and some organizations are now boycotting the release. But through it all, one thing remained clear: Scream 7, for whatever reason, had to be made. Think about this for a second. It didn’t matter if the directors bailed, if the stars were fired, if the script had to be completely redone and new actors and plotlines brought on. The film had to happen. Not because someone had a story to tell, or characters to develop, or ideas to explore, or a new twist to throw out there. No, there was simply a franchise to maintain and a title with a number that needed a movie with a release date. The first Scream skewered Hollywood cynicism. The latest embodies it.

I love it when @bilgeebiri.bsky.social goes for the jugular.

yesterday Conde's biggest cover story of 2025 (I think it's safe to say) got nominated for an ASME: a cover story about a trans woman, produced by a team that i helped guide as a trans person. and in the 11 months since it came out, they got rid of almost all of us

My point isn’t β€œhave nice chats with people”, it’s that thinking that people will immediately succumb to whatever they’re told is self-defeating. it wasn’t that I talked to people and found them charming or interesting, it’s that they demonstrated a gulf between what I was told and what others lived
