Pit Angelus, Deity of Light

"Hmm~?"

Pit blinked, turning to look at Asriel curiously for a moment. He blinked lightly when he realized that he had been spoken to by...well. a Goat. An adorable fluffy goat.

"Oh hi! Don't mind me, I'm just lost and passing through. Not sure how I got here, but still."

"Oh where am I now? Govion has got to stop sending me off to odd places, Cayden is going to get worried. I hope he had a proper breakfast..."

He has no idea where he is. Nothing looks familiar and as a being with gorgeous white wings, he looks critically out of place.

Pit's eyes seemed to light up a bit now, "He probably doesn't know but, he restored my sense of purpose. When I was still trying to figure out my way as a new deity...he accidentally reminded me of why it was all worth it."

Pit smiled sadly, "Well, in my case, I found out later that I even saved his life during the very first battle of the uprising..."

He tilted his head, "But, I adopted him after seeing him being thrown out on his birthday. Just for being trans, just for being himself."

He gasped at his own words, tilting his head, "Oh ah, that slipped... I uh, I'm the doting parent to a college student I adopted. If we want a more cheerful topic."

He didn't know what to say, but he did finally get back to his feet. Carefully kneeling down to lightly pat Palutena on the back.

"Oh, I see. I'm...so sorry. Truly...I...I don't know what I would do if I lost anyone important to me right now..."

Break, probably.

"Everyone around me has been so fundamental in me finding my ground to stand on. Helping me figure out who I am. If I lost Daku, if I lost my son-"

He tilted his head, "But...when I declined to return because of that sister and because I had gotten engaged to marry /my/ Dark Pit, my Daku... She deemed me a traitor."

He hesitated now, and it was plain on his face. What if this Palutena hated him after this?

No better way to find out.

"I decided, having learned a lot to better myself, that they deserved that chance to change. Even led to me finding out I had a sister, raised there.

There was no words. Nothing Pit could say. Not a thing. Not even a gasp. Not a breath. For a moment, he thought even his own heart had stopped.

Until...

"O-Oh..."

It was such a weak reaction, but with his own tears welling up in his eyes, he couldn't find more of one.

"During the fight with Hades... I remember, my treasures got broken off too. But I landed safely and then Medusa helped us. Color me surprised in that... We were able to salvage a canon from the treasure and..."

He trailed, tilting his head, "I... I'm sorry, I know this must be hard on you."

He blinked, gasping a bit as he tilted his head, "Ah, I'm sorry, that is...if you want to tell me. You don't have to."

Pit swallowed a lump in his throat. Was this some strange cosmic complication? Certainly... But why? He quietly planted the point of the staff in the ground, resting his hands on the top. Drawing a deep breath.

"...what happened-? What went wrong?"

He felt a pang in his chest at the clear pain she was in.

"...you don't have to leave. I...you don't feel malicious to me. Please keep it that way."

"I wish I actually understood that."

He stepped back, his eyes a touch wide as he nervously leaned against a fabricated shelf of light of his own creation.

"But...she did, all the same. Attacked another angel, and was met with her divinity getting split away by that angel's family."

Pit shivered, his wings slightly wrapping around him. They looked healthier than they used to, and yet somehow seemed to clearly have come at a cost.

"...hearing you say that is comforting and yet so confusing. I almost can't even believe it's happening."

He wiped his eyes frantically now.

Pit chuckled at the thought of Semi actually starting to somehow exceed her master. It sounded so unreal, and yet...

"That's good to hear! I've been doing really well myself. Cayden has been the best kid I could ever ask for. I've been...feeling odd, actually? But in a good way. Somehow stronger?"

The pain in his back scar seared up. Emotional trauma response, he was sure. But ...

"I'm sorry to hear that. Last time I dealt with anyone with your face, I was stabbed. Literally."

He stepped back, lowering the staff slightly.

"Which, understand...is why I'm not inclined to trust you, either."

His inheritance of her staff showed on a draw, "Who are you? The only person I know with your face isn't a deity anymore. If this is a joke, it isn't a funny one, and I'm really not in the mood for mind games today."

Though, a tremble rang through him. A shiver on his spine.

"Why are you here?"

"It's okay! I'm just glad to see you at all. It's good to know you're well," Pit managed, wrapping his arms around Dyntos for their hug best he could.

"I've missed you! How's Semi? How's you? What have you been making?"

If there's anyone Pit doesn't expect to see today, it's Her. But that's exactly what he gets. Freezing in place upon the sight of her, his heart seized as though a ghost had reached in to grab it.

But, the confusion was unreal. So much so that he couldn't even speak.

"Huh... Interesting. I understand why that would give you a headache..."

He pursed his lips, tilting his head thoughtfully, "I'm glad you fought it off. At least it...seems to behave now? I hope-?"

He feels completely at a loss, but somehow in a good way.

Don't mind this motherly Pit currently curled up with his son, watching movies.

"Happy Mother's Day, Mom!" Cayden chirped softly, snuggling into his adoptive parent's side.

Pit laughed gently, cuddling him lightly, "Thank you son."

"I've met a personified spam filter, but I don't think I ever quite expected anything like this."

He really didn't. Filament had a very different existence from this.

To say Pit was stunned was an understatement, with his brows raised. Her tail was talking!?

"That's not something you see everyday..." He murmured to himself, tilting his head, "How'd you end up having to deal with it?"

A computer virus huh? Reminded him of...oddly enough, multiple things.

"What's the Solver? The other one didn't mention that..."

Don't mind him leaning on a shelf of light of his own creation, beginning to eat one of his own cookies.

"Ah yeah, I caught on to that. I don't think they hate me though, I think they just figured I'd be okay. Or maybe they're trying to tell me something..."

He raised a brow at the tug of war moment confusedly, but decided not to comment on it. Just chuckling lightly instead.

Don't mind a certain deity coming to visit Dyntos. He probably looks a bit more healthy and calm since last Dyntos saw him. Looks like the heavens have made him some new clothes, as he sports a delicate new blue and white floor length robe.
