i've been banging this drum since i got to play it in october and i'm happy people are realizing this finally

Watching people turn around on Marathon is so fun. “Only 3 maps at launch? Bad look” has become “these 3 maps are perfect and I can’t stop playing”

I really hate living in the absolute stupidest version of America that I will see in my lifetime

The gas station near my job just took down the numbers showing the price instead of trying to keep up lol

I love marathon I love how obtuse it is and I love how people stopped complaining and put in a few hours to figure it out and ended up also loving it

I hope this idea of “complex games you have to figure out are a failure of game design” goes away soon

the criticisms on marathon being "too tough to figure out" are absolutely insane to me, do we as gamers want the yellow paint or not i thought you were all smart enough to read things and experiment

This site has discussion on games but very specifically none of the fun discussion about anything I care about. I only open this app to see things that are gigantic bummers at all times in the name of being informed.

I miss Marathon already

the only reason i am always skeptical of everything and everyone trying to "protect kids" is possibly the long storied history of nobody ever actually trying to protect kids and instead having much more insidious goals in mind. instant red flag for me.

This game has hooks that just worm into your head and don’t let go. I also feel like its difficulty is almost in the exact perfect sweet spot as well. It’s exhilarating when it works, it’s crushing when it doesn’t, but you are never completely down and out. I think I love this game

playing solo is very viable though doing boss fights is going to require some real firepower. it's a whole different game when compared to squad play.

i been saying, arc raiders got all the normal people used to this idea so marathon didn't have to. i have coworkers who are interested in this game.
