2/He won't want to miss a valuable opportunity to take out the leadership, even if it puts him at odds with the UK.

1/B/c he isn't a sane person, & his focus is limited to the moment. He is perfectly capable of launching a strike from RAF Gloucester that was always intended to take out Iranian leaders or was morphed into that mid-flight. (cont)

2/ Trump only has to say yes or no , which isn't too taxing. But he will have lost the plot long before it ends.

1/Trump doesn't get bored so much as loses concentration & others do all the heavy lifting anyway. He falls asleep & wakes up only when someone like Netanyahu rings him & tells him he has a small window to kill the Iranian dictator. (cont)

Why? Please explain.

He really does not love his neighbour. Easy to see how Nazism infected Germany.

As one poster said, quite insightfully, how would that be "...taking back control?".

Reconstruction, in principle, wasn't a bad idea, but it was executed by a bad president, who had Trumpian like prejudices against non-whites & a desire to benefit only "...people like him). He had very little forethought or planning for the wash of violence & chaos that flowed from the Civil War.

3/ We have to show that we keep our word, unlike Trump & there are good reasons for defensive strikes. But Trump doesn't & he will break the agreement as soon as another window opens to strike down a senior player in Iran: then Starmer needs to be ruthlessly firm. The deal is off.

2/Having given permission (& I agree it should not have been given without stricter terms & penalties) withdrawing it before a breach of the cardinal conditions would just make the UK a pariah-untrusted by US, Middle eastern states & Europe. (cont)

1/This shows Polanski's political naivety. He is a good communicator & his party have some great policies but they need some seasoned experience in opposition or as part of a coalition before I would trust them with Government. (cont)

Long enough to cause an oil shock in the West & hyper-inflation, which happened to Biden after Putin invaded the Ukraine & he got crap for it. But he dragged it back down again. Trump will have to answer to the towering price of eggs that he will have caused by his reckless actions.

Since there are barking posts saying Kamala would also have gone to war, it needed saying.

2/So in reality, he is letting Trump have his way & justifying it afterwards with: "Limited to defence" rational.

1/My sympathy for Starmer is limited b/c he knows how untrustworthy Trump is. If Trump wants to bomb Teheran & kill more Iranian leaders using British air bases he will & he won't feel restrained by restrictions in their agreement. (cont)

Some brilliant thinkers but poor spellers or typists or suffer eyesight problems or just rushed. Common tactic amongst some of the "shit-posters" & pushy extremists to attack someone's spelling, without addressing their message. Playing the person, not the ball, b/c frankly, they lack ball skills.

That's pretty apt. It is quite clear that the "Board of Peace" was an attempt to widen Trump's power internationally & undermine the UN, when in fact, it was intended to sanction Trump waged wars & has no peacekeeping role whatsoever.

But nothing has been decided on what to do about him. meanwhile, he beds in his authoritarianism, aided by his facilitators in Congress. There is some urgency, b/c he is quite capable of declaring a national emergency over Iran & cancelling the mid-terms.

That's part of the problem. This isn't even clever authoritarianism. It's just ad hoc blundering.

He doesn't even frame it as existential. Bush , at least, claimed Iraq was an imitate international threat to security. Trump can only claim "very nearly".

2/They think it will cause resentment against Trump & force a shortening of the window of action. But Trump is too cognitively impaired to respond to rational tactics.

1/There is a method in their madness, although madness. They are trying to degrade any asset which could be used by the Americans even EU ones. They are also trying to damage the Western economies. (cont)

He could be impeached on Iran strikes alone, if anyone had the courage. Then we will find out how far, Armed Forces, FBI & Security have been comprised.

He's used to this escalation for construction costs. It doesn't bother him.

Can't agree that it is trivial or that they were ready in the short term.

1/Sorry, I took their indifference to death as a basic tenor of their policies. They are killing US citizens & immigrants in America in a dozen different ways. They are prepared to take countless Latin American lives & risk US soldiers lives to do it. (cont)

03.03.2026 09:26 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Exactly. Demented, narcissistic Trump is aping Putin & being led by Netanyahu. Whatever the US might think of Khamenei the unprovoked attack in the middle of negotiations to murder the Iranian leader & bomb his country is a moral & legal horror that dwarfs even Bushes' disaster in Iraq.

2/ If they are going to muck around with the Voting Act, it will be White British citizens. The core of Reform are Nazis. But many people want to jump from the frying pan of a mildly authoritarian & directionless Labour into the fire of Reform hard right Nazism. Change for it's own sake is madness!

1/Farage gives away the desperation in telling little phrases. He says he would have won in the last by-election if it was only the British-born citizens voting. That suggests hard-core Reform only want to allow votes to people actually born in Britain. (cont)
