Enter a playful dimension of colourful hybrid forms with London-based Spanish artist Saelia Aparicio. A Joyful Parasite uses installation, sculpture and murals to weave together narrative, science fiction and ecological speculation.

Otobong Nkanga's 'Tied to the Other Side' explores the cycle of life, death and rebirth in the ocean. Created using over 140 thread types and weaving techniques.

Saelia Aparicio's A Joyful Parasite invites you into a playful dimension, exploring how humans prioritise their own species while criticising other living beings - simply for existing as they were created. Aparicio examines our lack of empathy toward non-human life. 🐛🦋🪱

Estonian visual artist Kristina Õllek's work Breathing Deep Currency focuses on the relationship between fragile deep-sea habitats and the complicated issues surrounding deep-sea mining operations of manganese nodules.

Projected through 24 silk panels, Saodat Ismailova's As We Fade was filmed on Kyrgyzstan's sacred Sulaiman-Too mountain. It weaves together rituals, 1929 archival footage, & recent drone material. The panels form fragments of narratives, filtering & fading between layers to symbolise waning memory.

Parr was also commissioned by Art Review to document the opening of Baltic back in 2002.

In 2009, much of this was captured in Baltic exhibition PARRWORLD. We were proud to present an expansive survey of Parr’s work alongside his personal collection of work by other photographers and curious popular culture memorabilia from Princess Diana plates to Barack Obama flip-flops.

A prolific, acclaimed, and celebrated photographer Martin Parr captured in glorious detail his surroundings for over 50 years. He uniquely and obsessively documented the quirks, colour, and intricacy of everyday life from Ladies Day horseraces to swimming pools and village fetes.

Nadia Huggins swims daily, documenting her body in the ocean alongside marine life near her home in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Transformation No. 4 explores separation between human and marine worlds through a self-portrait & an image of a brain coral which can live up to 900 years.
