I get why/that people say this, but dont' underestimate this:
all other social networks are invested in making sure that posts that link to journalism remain buried, or at least never go viral.
BlueSky doesn't do that. That makes it very valuable to a ton of newsrooms righ tnow.

I would like this 1,000 times if I could.
Positive campaigning only in the primary. Save the negative 💩 for the general!
Why not stop saying publicly who you DON’T want, but if the person you DO want to run doesn’t, or runs & loses a primary, you do whatever it takes to vote for the Non-MAGA candidate who makes it onto the ticket In a General Election?
The USA needs to work on not voting for MAGA Majorities.
She WORKED for that

The reality is that studios can spend the next 10 years throwing hundreds of millions of dollars into AI-produced, algorithm-driven "content" and yet they'll never produce a work even a fraction as emotionally evocative as a 90 second Volkswagen ad from 1999

Neil Sedaka was so talented, and he inspired me to follow my dream of being a songwriter.
With love and gratitude and condolences to his family.

To his point - GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MEDIA!!!!! Journalism requires people to report, research, edit, distribute and publish.
Yes it helps to have subscriptions. Do what you can afford, but there are free options as well. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for posting these. Just the dopamine I needed this morning.

Some of it must be down to being without power and then stranded away from campus for two weeks and then having to play a murderous schedule of top teams in quick succession.
Exhaustion and stress then additionally lead to injuries.
A rough patch in such a promising season…
The richest man owns X.
The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
These aren’t normal times. Any good capitalist can extract profit, but an oligarch consolidates control.

And like when that person bought the newspaper many of us formerly relied upon for investigative journalism
Netflix seriously has to lock in now
They can't just act like this isn't serious now. This will truly hurt the entertainment industry in the long form if Paramount, Trump and his goons gets their hands on Warner Bros than Netflix
