The Neighborhood

This Was Ours

An arch shaped canvas with a soft gradient painted background. Floating in the foreground is a simple geometric shaped home with mountains, arrows and half circled delicately balance on rope of it. Other elements float by its side and above including rainbows, raindrops, fire moons and stars. The piece titled, Weathervane, represents systems of communication and understanding in the wake of climate change.

In the wake of the Eaton Fire, I feel solastalgia. Grief is present and part of it. However, Solastalgia places that grief within the greater context of a warming climate. To articulate this emotion, will help guide our paths forward in shaping a better future going forward.
