Body-cam footage shows the opposite. The ICE agent rammed her then jumped out, and started shooting. Video posted on social media forced them to release their footage.

I went through it for close to a year in the 80's when I was 16. Boot camp style, with twist of baked-in religion. It was a 'residential treatment facility' for 'troubled' teens; where they did more than 'pray the gay away'. It was truly hellish.

They don't. It's been 40 years, and I still find myself suddenly realising yet one more thing about it that had a damaging effect. Having to go to therapy to heal from bad therapy was a weird thing too. 😬

I felt like it broke me. It took me years to even start to feel normal again. If it taught me anything, it was that what it all boils down to, is that I could only really rely on myself. The place was shut down after I left. They were found to have grossly violated patient's rights (S.A.).

When I was 16, I was put into a residential 'treatment' center for troubled teens. Operated by the military, and set up especially for kids of active duty military parents, it was part boot camp, part school, and part conversion therapy. It was hell for a year. Me, the day I went in- 👇🏻
