Concern Regarding Google's Android OS and Competition I, the consumer, purchased an Android device believing in Google’s promise it was an open computing platform and that I could run the software I chose on it. Starting next year, they will be non-consensually pushing an update to my device irrevocably blocking this right, leaving me at the mercy of their judgement over what software I am permitted to use. This decision stifles innovation in the mobile development space, and will harm the programming literacy of future generations as Android app development is commonly used in US schooling. It is entirely at odds with Android's foundation as an open-source operating system.

Using their language bc the phrase "Stifling innovation" in US antitrust/anticompetition cases tends to get heard

TV Tropes is blocking access to the site not only if you have ad blockers on but location tracking off unless you want to subscribe to their $5 a month/$25 a year subscription plan. Even people who have turned their ad blockers off are reporting the site isn’t working. This all seems like a bad idea
