Spell it out for you. Not everyone has an employer based plan. I am one of those because I was fortunate and retired well ahead of Medicare age. My $500 pm is going on $1250 pm with the gutting of ACA.

No letter.Except our state says that on top of losing the subsidy, premium costs are to rise 22%. (I pay 500 pm for my own insurance) so I am expecting a shocking premium of $1250. And my deductible is already super high so insurance pays nothing really in a year. As to your over generalization…

Im sorry…I am in the same boat. With ACA $500 pm and going up to at least 1250 per month. Huge deductible already so not much wiggle room to increase the deductible and out of pocket costs.

Am I glad I retired early? Hell yes. I have seen incredible places and taken up many art forms. But premiums like this are super brutal.

$500 a month for a plan that never pays anything out and has a 7500, don’t know it could be 9k now, deductible and when ACA is pulled, my premiums per month for the same shitty plan will skyrocket to at least $1200.

Hey, not all of those 20+million. I retired well before when I had thought I would be able to.Losing my excellent gold standard insurance was the trade off at retiring 10-12 years early. I live within my means and if I use credit, it is paid off at the end of the month. My insurance premiums are

I am not impoverished but I do live within my means. My insurance will go from $500 a month to at least $1250. At least. With everything else being so expensive I am aghast to think 25% of my monthly income will go to an insurance plan that covers nothing, has a $7500 deductible.
