Jokes aside I have been genuinely super impressed with the quality of the streams lately and how they've stepped up production and filled up a lot of the dead air time. Trying to do that for Swiss format tournaments is not easy.

I was legitimately about to go take a quick nap between sets and the second I was standing up they did an interview with Montana Mott and, well, I can't miss that. 😔

In a blink and you miss it instance on the Champions website, it was revealed that you could change the battle BGM. I feel like if I had to pick one for myself as my signature theme, it'd be L's theme from Z-A. It's not my favorite but it feels the most like me.

The big shocker here is that WiWa (which is what we're calling it now because I say so) is getting offset until 2027. Hopefully that means that we'll be getting something that's....uh, let's say polished? on release even if it means missing the 30th anniversary.

Oh my God. This just snapped me back to my childhood. I had the Vulpix one, it might still be at my parents' house. I think getting these was the only time my mom ever set foot in a KFC. My sister got one too but I can't remember which, might've been the Zubat?

i think we all need to normalize just being comfortable with giving earnest compliments without weird caveats. if your friend does something cool, tell them it’s cool. i don’t necessarily thrive on compliments, but it does means a lot if a friend goes out of their way to say something kind to me.

Stereotypical answer but, Grave of the Fireflies.

I remember wearing a Pokemon t-shirt my grandma got me to the a New Year ball drop party in 2000.

This ended up being more detailed than I wanted it to be, but I suppose I'm feeling sentimental tonight.

I manually printed out their screencaps of the Pokedex and spread them around my youth group and had to spend a while convincing everyone they were real. Obviously the pre-release hype cycle of reveals is expected now but it was brand new back then.

I remember the hype for GSC. Seeing new Pokemon show up in the anime and movies. My parents both had comp sci training when that was less common and I knew how to do boolean operator searches online so I found fan sites by people who had copies of JP Gold/Silver.

I remember getting my first Pokemon cards. I don't think my first booster was anything exciting in modern terms but I was really excited to get Porygon because it was so rare in the games.

I remember seeing the movie on its opening night. We had to travel for an hour to find somewhere not sold out.
