I think we can all assume the LotR MMO from Amazon is no more, but it’s really concerning that Amazon won’t simply come out and say that. In our RFC, we asked point blank about it and it was ignored. Our follow up has yet to be answered.

It really felt like the AGS Irvine team has finally hit its stride with Aeternum and Nighthaven, just to have the rug pulled out from under them.

I am absolutely gutted by the AGS news, especially as someone who truly loves @playnewworld.bsky.social. It might not have been the *best* MMO on the market, but it's certainly one I have enjoyed since its 2021, with some inspired storytelling and world building along the way.

FWIW I reached out to Xbox for comment about the Halo ICE ads and they did not return my email.
