If I meet the art piece on its own terms, it becomes pointless for me to review from a consumer/user(/player) level. The idea it conveys is its own merit. It doesn't matter if I think 'Fountain' is boring, it just is what it is. But talking about it gives it meaning

Well the situation back in July isn't necessarily the same as this one with HORSES, cause... We don't KNOW what's going on here since Valve aren't really forthcoming or they disagree with the narrative.

And HORSES being boring... Well it's not entertainment. It's art. We don't grade art. But then..

In 1998, I bought Ocarina of Time for 700 Danish kroner. Inflation tells me that's about 1158 DKK today, or 180 USD.

So games have perhaps become a little too cheap today. And also, since nobody seems to be buying my game, I might as well mark up the price after the Steam holiday sales. Why not?

It's too bad that the digital game storefronts aren't consistent in their treatment of what they sell, because to a æarge degree, I see it as every business own prerogative what they choose to sell. I don't expect my local cinema to show avant garde or surrealist art.

Good discussion. Digital storefronts seem to be odd places for artwork, but if you can have both controversy, financial stability, AND keep your artistic integrity, why not.
