It was good to learn more about the fate of formerly enslaved people in the Caribbean, and you definitely want good things for the main characters as she searches for her children that were taken from her.

i need authors and agents to be much louder with their publishers how much they hate gen ai and make it embarrassing/financially harmful for publishers to be associated with it at every level (incl marketing, publicity, and sales)
