This government has done everything it can to demonise the Palestine movement. It has failed.
History will be kind to those who tried to stop the genocide. It will condemn those who aided and abetted it.

21.12.2025 20:44 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0#GameOverIsrael: Switzerland Could Revoke UEFA Tax Exemption Over Israel Swiss MPs argue citizens should not be forced to be complicit in Israel’s illegal occupation through UEFA Today Swiss local and national parliamentarians called for a vote on the subject of revoking UEFA's tax exemption. The legislators leading the effort cite the 19 July 2024 ruling by the ICJ which confirmed that Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land in the West Bank. They argue that since the Israeli Football Association (IFA), which fields football teams on that land, continues to enjoy membership in UEFA, UEFA’s legal standing and associated tax advantages in Switzerland where it is headquartered, are in question. Tax exoneration means that instead of receiving that money, Swiss citizens, specifically in Vaud, are funding the illegal activities of the Israeli football Association (IFA). The resolution states: “As an international federation, it [UEFA] has long benefited, despite its significant commercial activity, from a tax exemption granted specifically because international sports federations play an important role in promoting peace and combating racism and discrimination. UEFA has long placed these concerns at the heart of its decisions. Its commitment to peace, for example, was among the motivations cited in support of sanctions adopted by the organisation following Russia's aggression against Ukraine. However, it is clear that this objective is not being pursued today.” “UEFA enjoys preferential tax treatment in Switzerland. This comes with certain obligations, including promoting the values of peace. A double standard is unacceptable. While UEFA has rightly chosen to sanction Russian teams, it has taken no action or measures against Israel to date.” – Raphaël Mahaim, member of the National Council of Switzerland “Today, on 10 December (International Human Rights Day) Swiss and cantonal authorities will start the debate on the continuation of UEFA’s privileged tax sta…
"UEFA has an opportunity during the days ahead to act in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for a just and sustainable peace by disallowing Israel's participation in UEFA events so long as the genocidal policies continue in Occupied Palestine. Such an alignment by UEFA with the forces of law, justice, and global conscience will be long positively remembered, as would the refusal to take such a stand be negatively etched in the collective memory of humanity." – Richard Falk, Albert G. Milbank Professor of International Law and Practice, Emeritus at Princeton University, US and former UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 (2008-2014). “UEFA is at the forefront of funding and normalizing the apartheid and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian territories by continuing to provide a subsidy and allowing the Israeli Football Association (IFA) to be a member. This is money that could be going into the Swiss coffers, instead, the public is funding the illegal activities of the IFA. The simple solution for UEFA and their President if they truly believe in international law, national law and promoting peace - is to suspend Israel.” - Ashish Prashar, Former Advisor to the Middle East Peace Envoy and Campaign Director for Game Over Israel “UEFA cannot claim to promote peace through football while shielding a country that fields five teams in occupied Palestinian territory and is responsible for the genocide of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. For decades, Israel’s human rights abuses have been thoroughly documented, yet UEFA continues to carve out an exception that no other nation enjoys. The actions of a government always carry consequences for its citizens — that rule applies to every country except Israel. Enough is enough. UEFA must remove Israel from the league or accept the consequences of protecting impunity. In this dark moment in history, accountability is the only path forward.” - Abed…
NEW: Swiss politicians are pushing to *revoke* UEFA's tax-exempt status.
UEFA got exemption for "promoting peace" — which officials argue isn't being met due to UEFA taking no action against the Israeli Football Association.
Am told *45* of 200 Swiss MPs are already signed on.
