Yep. Just.. gotta get one. Might be this or next month. And CPU.. can wait. Since RAM already maxed out to 16, Sequoia runs surprisingly okay. Well, not as well as MacOS 13, but better than Sonoma anyhow. So I am happy.

What a wonderful idea. ZFS running on an SD Card, on my T430... surely that won't backfire.... surely.... (Though transparent compression, definitely will help with R/W performance. Especially considering that, less to write, less to read...)

Oooh, good luck with the thesis. I myself am.. a good time away from writing any, at the very least, 2 years. *if* things go well enough, that's it... That reminds me I should see if I can use direnv + nix to have latex only when I need it, and not installed globally.. but that's for another day

Mhm, I do not blame anyone for choosing alternatives, because I agree, LaTeX, *is* fairly bloated.. If not for the transparent compression, I probably would work harder on making my system take less space lol

I loved running Emacs + Lisp setup inside termux on my Onyx Boox Ultra, but I broke it by accident a long while ago... I miss it. Hopefully one day, I will have money again to get big e-reader.. awa..

You know, I really should get around to cleaning up my init.el... maybe try out elpaca, or straight.el..
