Yes, absolutely. From my perspective, I read (listened to) all the books and novellas once the show was finished. Came away with a greater appreciation for their ability to weave it all together into one coherent story for the live action version. Here's hoping the show finds new life someday.

Yes, the show works in a good amount of novella content. Definitely Strange Dogs, also the story of Bobbie's nephew on Mars, a little bit of Amos' time in Baltimore when he was young, Fred Johnson's "Butcher" backstory. There's so much more beyond those hints in the show, though. Enjoy.

There is also a path which which sprinkles in the novellas at chronologically appropriate points between the main novels. You know...if maybe you're thinking about round two.
