The code is designed to be low-resource usage, so many can try it out. Everything can run in free Colab, except the last OpenVLA and pi0-type models.

I can get behind this reasoning. Mistakes like these are sign other care was skipped. Similar to double checking notations, grammar, structure, that if not done well make a paper unclear and will contribute to non reproducibility.
