This is darkly funny. But part of the problem with Donald Trump is that this is how people have dealt with him for the past 75-plus years.
Long story short (and friends in Europe, please take note):
This approach DOES NOT WORK.
So basically Trump’s argument is that he only bothered talking about how much he supposedly wanted peace and performed substance-free publicity stunts to win a prize, but since that didn’t fool anyone he’s not going to bother with that charade anymore and will just invade Europe.
