Some great news this week as my eldest was selected for the Great Britain u18 ice hockey team.

He works hard everyday towards his dream of playing professionally and this is a wonderful reward for that. At just 15 the chance to play at a World Championships is amazing.

Congrats to all selected.

Seems like a huge step for Sheffield United. With all takeovers there is part of my which feels cautious, it always sounds so good, but history tells me that often that good feeling fizzles out.

Today at Sheffield Hallam Uni our Sports Journalists are looking at sports pr crisis management. It is challenging as begin to look at the conflicts both personally and for the club/company.

It is rarely as cut and dried as it appears from the outside.

Another really strong performance from Sheffield Steelers in the CHL. Beaten in Berlin, but they made enough chances to win it. Love the way Aaron Fox went after the game.
