this is kind of a funny feature of the site tho. like as a funny prank i log into my friend's account and change their birthdate so that they get permanently vaporized by twitter. and the only recourse is to show them your id (a no for obvious reasons), but only if you weren't a stinky liar as a kid

of course i do this the moment i kind of want to post art there because a lot of cool people still congregate there - i suppose it's a sign from the cosmos (also i did actually create the account before i was 13 lmfao so i probably can't dispute it in any way)

in the stupidest move i could have ever made i think i just permanently locked my twitter account by changing the birth date because when i made it at like 12 or something i lied and said i was born in 1990 and i wanted to be Truthful now for some reason. i mean it's no great loss

ok after sleeping on it i think my biggest beef with the finale is that they never played "you can't always get what you want"?!?! that is THE thematic house song you're telling me they'll bring back that song for masters' departure (i actually really liked that btw) but not the series finale?!? SMH

no more house ranting on bluesky the masses rejoiced and clapped in celebration. i'm so glad to have finally moved on from actively watching the show like i love it to death but god that sure was a Chunk of my life. this Will happen again when i inevitably rewatch the show tho (sorry)

again im kinda frustrated because i love a lot of what was done but i feel like it being tacked onto the end of season 8 and it feeling so rushed did that ending arc 0 favors. the focus on house's internal struggle and pain was a little jarring since the rest of the season had basically none of that

ok sorry im rambling i don't want this to turn into another "late-season house bad" thread because ive done that sooo much. i think if the series finale was spread over a two-parter and they were able to develop stuff more it would've been a lot better i think. also getting lisa edelstein back

idk seasons 7 and 8 did irreversible brain damage or something like i went back to watch "all in" from season 2 a few weeks ago and i was so freaked out the entire time because i wasn't used to the show being so grounded and the characters feeling like human beings LMAO

i just finished house and idk how to feel tbh LOLLLL god the show means a lot to me but season 8's soul-sucking mediocity kinda broke me and now my thoughts on the show are so jumbled 😭 ugh i love a lot of elements of the final 4-episode arc that happened but part of me is also little underwhelmed

YAYYY i had so much fun at yosemite even tho i was suffering in the moment 😭 scaling like 1/12 of that mountain my greatest achievement

yeah i kind of choose to ignore everything surrounding the homestuck ip after the og comic ended lmao ... i cope by holding onto those good memories of reading the og 😭 the show looks well-made but i don't think it could ever tell the story in a satisfying way because really how could you

but that might not translate well to a show like this. especially an animated show where every second is a lot of work and money. they can't afford to make the show as bloated as the original which is understandable but idk. i don't think it could ever be a satisfying adaptation of the comic

but then a lot of those exposition dumps are vital to comprehending the world and the plot because there's so much to understand ?! and maybe this is an issue with the original comic that they'll "fix" or whatever but i like that the comic is overly complex and confusing it's what makes it homestuck

i'm just thinking about how they'd communicate the wall-of-text exposition dumps the comic often does into an engaging show, let alone an 11-minute episode ... that stuff sorta works in homestuck because you can read at your own pace. and even then a lot of people don't like when the comic does that

they showed scenes from acts 3 and 4 in the trailer and i hope that's like. not in the pilot???? are they really telling the story of acts 1-4 in an 11 minute episode? please god tell me they're not doing that. homestuck is horrible for an 11-minute episode format like you'd need to cram too much in

ok actually i do mean it mostly negatively because homestuck is a piece of media that translates terribly to anything but its original format. like how are they going to structure and pace this thing whatsoever???? they'll probably have to cut a lot which is kind of upsetting
