I’ve finally succeeded in getting the game to properly load assets from mods.
This means the game can now natively support adding new models, objects, maps, and even entirely new gameplay 🥳
I’m beyond excited 🤯🔥

After two full days, I finally finished rebuilding the movement system.
With client-side prediction added, movement now feels smooth and responsive—no more obvious lag.
Playing games feels simple, but once you start building them, you realize just how deep the rabbit hole goes😂

Today, I carried out a major optimization of the project’s code, and managed to reduce the compile time by a full 34%.
This means ours team members won’t have to wait forever
for the engine to compile anymore when launching it💤

I was talking with our tech artist today,UE 5.7 is out
And the PCG system we’ve been using
has officially moved from Beta to Production
we’re now discussing whether to
migrate the PCG module from 5.7
and integrate it into our customized engine build. 🤔

The world list was originally one-way only
once you chose a world, you couldn’t go back to overview,
only switch via the scroll box 🫤.
After feedback, I reworked the logic and rebuilt the system. Spent the whole day, and here’s a temporary demo 🫠
