Rookie foibles exist but Elias Salomonsson makes a lot of plays that convey he'll be able to handle tough competition and play at speed as a top four D someday.

Get right with the hockey gords, #NHLJets

Winnipeg is playing a much faster brand of hockey than we're used to seeing this season, but it's 1-0 Vancouver after the first.

The goal was a Linus Karlsson wrist shot that rode up Josh Morrissey's stick and went top shelf on Connor Hellebuyck.

Winnipeg has plenty of jump but Linus Karlsson has given Vancouver a 1-0 lead.

I still don't expect that Stanley fits into Winnipeg's long term budget at LD. My assumption is he gets more as a UFA than WPG can offer for a third pairing guy.

But whatever will be, will be. Sounds like they'll check in and see, just to make sure.
